S+ARCK with Ballantyne

starck

Philippe Starck is turning his creative talents from product design to fashion. In an interview with WWD, Starck described his collaboration with Scottish cashmere brand Ballantyne as exploring “the new territory of the timeless elegance of intelligence.” The S+ARCK with Ballantyne collection will be comprised of 30 pieces each for men and women, combining cashmere with silk and other technical fabrics with details in camouflaged secret pockets and neon linings.

Starck first collaborated with Soundwalk in a mobile art and sound exhibit for the 2004 edition of Nuit Blanche in Paris.

LOUIS VUITTON OPENS HONG KONG EXHIBITION

Hong Kong Museum of Art featuring Louis Vuitton's exhibition

The Hong Kong Museum of Art is hosting ”Louis Vuitton: A Passion for Creation,” an exhibition that presents publicly for the first time pieces from Louis Vuitton’s private collection. The exhibition also showcases other works of contemporary art and design from artists ranging from those who have collaborated with Louis Vuitton in the past, such as Richard Prince and Takashi Murakami, to seven young Hong Kong artists.

As part of the exhibition, Richard Prince wrapped the museum’s exterior with images from his well known “After Dark” series. The exhibition opened May 21 and will run until Aug. 8 this year.

Louis Vuitton collaborated with Soundwalk to produce Soundwalks featuring three Chinese cities, including Hong Kong.
