New York City’s legendary Central Park celebrates is 156th birthday on July 21st 2009. Recently 5000 runners gathered to commemorate the park’s milestone while raising money for the Central Park Conservancy.

The four mile race resulted in finishing times of 18:51 by Bado Worku Merdessa, leading the men, and 21:59 by Abbi Antablin, leading the women.

Soundwalk has partnered with PUMA to offer a unique way to experience your own run in Central Park. Our audio tour/running guide narrated by Zoe Cassavettes and running coach Toby Tanser, takes you along the reservoir loop with killer music by Scratch Massive to motivate you, while pointing out landmarks, history and little known facts about this 156 year old mecca of runners.
