Featured tracks are from Tom Ze, Childisc’s Asao Kikuchi, and Japanese sound artist Yuki Kaneko. Remixes are by Santogold / Diplo and a reinterpretation of Moreno Veloso’s work by Takako Minekawa. Field recordings from Mali, Syria, Rio De Janeiro and Calcutta courtesy of Sublime Frequencies and Soundwalk. The rough voice you hear belongs to the one and only, Fidel Castro. Here is another excerpt of the (work-in-progress) Soundwalk 14 hour mixes, for the Philippe Starck-designed Paradis Du Fruit in Paris. This part of the mix runs between 01.29 and 01.42 AM. A quiet, complex and warm ambience blended with sounds and voices of the night. Featured artists include BPitch Control’s own Ellen Allien, experimental sound artist Yuki Kaneko from the environmental recordings label and/OAR; and again, David Byrne’s own label Luaka Bop remixes. Field recordings are by Soundwalk, and originate in Paris and Hong Kong. Mixes and blends By Simone Merli.
